For children & adolescents, Dr. Reives-Bright will use the first 1-3 sessions to assess the physical, genetic, developmental, emotional, cognitive, educational, family, peer, and social components of the patient’s presenting problem. This might include interviewing siblings, caregivers, teachers, school psychologist, and other involved healthcare providers. Once a diagnosis is determined, Dr. Reives-Bright will design a custom treatment plan and discuss her recommendations with the parents, family, and/or child.
For adults as well, Dr. Reives-Bright will perform a clinical interview during the first 1-3 sessions to determine a diagnosis. She may also gather information from previous patient records and interview spouses and family members, from which she will prescribe her recommended treatment plan of psychopharmacology and/or psychotherapy.
Forms
For the first session, Dr. Reives-Bright asks that all patients/parents please complete and bring the following forms:
Payment, Insurance & Cancellations
Dr. Reives-Bright operates a fee-for-service practice, which means that she does not accept insurance. Payment is required at the time of service - at the end of each session. Dr. Reives-Bright accepts personal checks and cash, but not credit cards.
After each session or on a monthly basis, she will provide receipts (“superbills”) with all the necessary information so patients can submit to their insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.
To cancel a scheduled appointment, Dr. Reives-Bright requests at least 24 hours advanced notice. Otherwise, the patient will be charged the full fee.
